She is just cooing and smiling up a storm. Her sounds get stronger and clearer everyday. The more you smile, nod and repeat what she says, the more she says it. We are having so much fun with her. We are all, however with the exception of Michael who is out of town for a couple of days (thankfully for him), coming down with something....but all is well aside from that. Just hoping to lay low for the New Years as we have been running a bit thin with parties and celebrations with our family and friends....but we wouldn't have it any other way.



Love and Blessings to everyone as we close out the year. We feel so blessed to have you all in our lives and to be a part of yours.

So serious at 7 weeks!

Latest pics of our lil' cupcake....she is cooing and smiling like crazy- although in these pics she looks a bit concerned..... She is holding her head up well, and will push up to stand when given the chance. She is just lots of fun, a really good baby.

Thursday night at our house....

Yes, it has come to this....forget the biker bars on Greenville.... there will be no sipping wine in West Village....No No No...this is what Thursday evening looks like in our home now.....Check out Chase's new bike and helmet (he's getting a pre-riding-lesson from daddy in the front hallway) and here's Ms. Emily after her bath (I like to call her (actually - I call both of my children) 'Mommy-Food' after she has her bath, because that's what she is - all cute and clean and sweet smelling....)

You just want to eat them up : )

Chasey turns TWO

Chase turned two on Nov 24th....we had a big birthday party on Friday, the 28th....here are a few pics from the party and a few pics from a smaller, more intimate party we had for him at Brandy's house in Houston .....I am still waiting on a few more images from my sister in laws - Robyn and Maria - to add to this as I am absolutely certain their pics will be much better. : ) Stay tuned.

Chase and Mommy bake cookies!

After sister had gone to bed, mommy and Chase got some good one on one time to bake cookies before daddy got home! Yum Yum. (insert wink here) Chase made sure to sample each cookie for quality before it was placed on the baking sheet ...he also worked very hard on his smashing technique- everyone likes a flat, paper thin cookie, after all.....

Happy Halloween!

Chase (st. bernard puppy) and his buddy Wyatt (candy corn) ran from door to door trick or treating around our block on Halloween. Chase actually began to eat the candy he was receiving....wrapper on..... : ) Weather was great and the boys had so much fun.

Sweet Emily Ann Harris - October 29th, 2008

Our daughter Emily arrived at Baylor Hospital -Grapevine- at 4:29 a.m. on October 29th, 2008.

She arrived 12 days early and very healthy at 7 lbs 15 oz. - and was 19 3/4 " long. Labor was (I say this now...) short and uncomplicated at 4 1/2 hours.... both mommy and baby were doing so well, we left the hospital after one night : )

Emily had lots and lots of visitors throughout her first day.....PawPaw was her very first visitor at 7 a.m. - he and Memah came back later that evening as well - and Auntie Maria and Uncle Tracy stopped in around lunchtime.... Chasey's best buddy Wyatt and his parents, Christi and Scott Heal (our dear friends) kept Chasey for us throughout the ordeal which began at at midnight on the 29th and Christi actually made it to the hospital before lunchtime to meet Emily in person, .....Uncle Jeff, Auntie Robyn, Matt, Kylie, Robyn's mom Christi and a couple of friends all piled in for a visit later that evening......

Chasey got to the hospital around 10 am.- he is in love with his new sister....constantly kissing and hugging her and uttering: 'my baby sister'- he really seems to be enjoying this new 'big brother' title of his.

Just the promise of her kept us going for the past 9 months....But we fell in love with her the very moment we saw her. We are so excited to bring her home and begin this next stage in our life together.
