After his bath and as we were winding down for bed this evening, Chase was referencing and pointing to (his favorite) the scratchy-sniffy book NaNa & Papa gave him in April....I grabbed the book and said 'OK, let's go to your room and read a book.'
As we made our way down the hall towards his room, a sweet smelling and smiley Chase remarked 'READ A BOOK'
Needless to say, I swooped him up, kissing him and praising his new words.....I was so proud of him....first, we called daddy, as daddy was out of town, and daddy giggled as he heard those three very clear words - then we called as many family members as we could so our little sparkler could utter this new phrase....before he konked out for bed at 8 p.m.
