Family Update

Just a short update on what's been going on with us -

Chase:  Chase just finished his first year of preschool (only 1 day per week)- is doing so well with letter/number recognition and is working on writing the letters of his name.  He is incredibly athletic, spends most of his time outside playing basketball with neighbors, soccer at the park, riding his bike - and LOVES playing baseball right now (non stop...).  He is also quite the 'negotiator' ....bedtimes, treats and stuff right next to the register at the store.

Emily:  Is very verbally articulate.  She has an amazing, understandable vocabulary and speaks in understandable sentences.  Has been climbing on everything (practically giving me a heart attack) She is starting to sing ABCs and can count to 5.  She is definitely her daddy's girl....She hangs in with brother all day long, and is quite tough... Loves to go to storytime at the library, and this fall will start some sort of gymnastics/baby gym type program because she is showing impressive raw skill in those areas right now.  She grabs my tap shoes and wears them around the house all day, so we're looking for a used pair of shoes that will actually fit her so she can  play with that a little...

Mike:  Is doing great with his flying- has been with the company for almost a year and a half now.  Flies with another good captain and they enjoy their location when they are on the road.  Which is better than sitting in the hotel room all day/night.  Has his hands full with keeping the yard and the cars, etc. when he is home.

Kimmie:  Subbing a bunch and still trying to wrap up my PT cert....still teaching my preschool yoga and actually subbing a preschool ballet class here and there (I swore I'd never go back....but....)  Just raising my children and attempting to keep house and take care of my two dog babies from day to day takes everything I've got, but I still manage to fit in MOPS twice per month and take little 'field trips' with the children a couple of times per month to keep them occupied.  I'm blessed enough to have a mother and father in-law who, a couple times per month, (especially if Mike is away) come over and take the children for the day.

Well that's all for now.... hope to make another post soon.
