Fall 2009

We have been so busy these past couple of months! Our Chasey started preschool in September....and Miss Emily just turned ONE! She's walking all over the place and chatting up a storm. Daddy's been flying quite a bit. Here are a few Halloween/School Halloween party pics....Chase (who you will see has recently broken his leg!)was a fireman and Emily was an elephant...she actually wore the same costume Chase wore when he was one, we just girlied it up a little

Emily is so funny right now....she just turned 10 months old, is cutting about 6 teeth (all at once, God Bless her...) pulling up on everything and letting go (balancing is great!) - her favorite word is 'this' as she points... she loves to shake her nead 'no', sing songs, clap her hands and dance....and she is doing a great job with self feeding right now as well. We've got our hands full over here. : ) And her curls become more prominent every week....we just love those.

Utah 2009

We took a nice 4 day trip to Utah to spend time with a lifelong best friend of mine and her husband in their cabin in the mountains .....drove the 4wheelers looking for moose (with my daughter in a hiker pack on my back!), went on almost hourly 'moose checks' with Chasey on the porch and finally did see a moose the very last day, saw lots of fun wildlife roaming nearby, and desperately tried to find a roaming chocolate lab his home, went to Park Cities and rode a few rides, had dinner in a quaint little town nearby and Nathan can make one heck of a breakfast too....good talks, good times.....thanks so much for having us ya'll. : )

4th of July weekend- Granbury, TX

We took a fun trip to the small town of Granbury, TX. Stayed in a neat hotel on the Lake, enjoyed swimming off their sandy beach and playing in their children's waterpark, took in a parade, shopped in a couple of little shops, took a drive and did some sightseeing and enjoyed a really nice firework display on the hotel patio/boardwalk on the 4th. With the hotel being right on the lake, the reflection of the fireworks off the water made it even more beautiful. The children loved it as much as we did. We were also able to see the fireworks from the window in our room.

June 2009

So, Chasey is just about potty trained! Knew it would be pretty easy once he just decided on it ....he's been very aware of himself for almost a year on and off, but we've been strong for a while now (and 'partying' all the way!), even overnight!....He'll be starting a one-day a week preschool in the fall and will probably start a sport in the spring- he's extremely physical and athletic. Emily is sitting on her own, chatting up a multiple syllable storm, we're working on her 'signing' (just a few things, like we did with Chase) and she's just about ready to crawl....any day....is eating (chopped and soft) along with us most of the time (still purchase some of the storebought food too). Michael has been gainfully employed again for almost two months now- we are very fortunate....and I have (almost) a regular teaching/subbing schedule- will finish off the ACE exam by Aug/Sept- it has taken me so much longer than I thought it would tending to two children.... Pipey is swimming again for the summer and Chiefy is once again barking at him while he does it, God bless him- he just can't stand the water. Weather hot.... Dallas in the summer.
